Chalvey neighbourhood
Local priorities
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
- Prostitution. There is a core of about twenty sex workers in the area. A few of them are driven by their addiction to drugs but some do it for money.
- Drug dealing and Class ‘A’ drugs. There are long-term concerns about drug dealing in the area. This then causes incidents of burglary and robbery.
- Anti-social behaviour - street drinking. This is centred around Serena Hall in Burlington Avenue but also in other roads around the centre of Chalvey.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
