Fairford Leys neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Parking on Keen Close/Queensgate. There is a problem with parking at the beginning and end of school day at St Mary’s School. Vehicles are being parked causing obstructions to other road users and local residents who need to gain access to their properties. We are regularly patrolling the area at relevant times and speaking to the vehicle owners. Letters have also been distributed advising parents of local car parks and the consequences of their actions.
  2. Speeding on Arncott Way. Despite the speed limit being 30mph on this stretch of road starting at the roundabout, local residents are continually driving in excess of the limit. A number of vehicles have been stopped and words of advice given. There will be ongoing speed enforcement operations in the area.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
