Local priorities - 'You said, We did'
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
You said: Road Safety in Twyford
You were concerned with road safety in Twyford
The Neighbourhood Team performed a Road Safety Operation targetting motorists using mobile phones whilst driving and others who were not wearing seatbelts. There were various outcomes with drivers given words of advice and Fixed Penalty Notices issued
You said: Speeding in Hurst
You were concerned with drivers exceeding the speed limits in Hurst
The Neighbourhood Team performed an operation using a Speed Indication Device (SID) to target motorists exceeding the speed limit. Any vehicles recorded as travelling in excess of the speed limit will be sent warning letters
You said: Speeding on Old Bath Road
Vehicles were speeding on the Old Bath Road
Conducted speed enforcement and monitoring.
You said: Speeding across the area
We received a number of complaints about speeding across the area.
We worked with, and will continue to work closely with, Hurst Parish Council who have facilitated surveys at these locations. We will use this data to prioritise enforcement in conjunction with our Roads Policing Team.
You said: Anti-social Behaviour in St. Georges Field
Anti-social Behaviour in St. Georges Field, Twyford
We worked with our partners to identify the offenders and arrest them.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
