Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

1. Anti - social behaviour in Jansel Square - Jansel Square is one of the main locations where groups of young people congregate. We patrol this area on a regular basis to deal with any incidents that may occur.
2. Speeding on Bedgrove / Camborne Avenue - It has been highlighted to the neighbourhood team that this specific road in Bedgrove often gets road users exceeding the speed limit. To try and combat this problem we will be working with the local council running speed enforcement operations using a speed indicator device (SID). Fixed penalty notices will be issued to drivers caught speeding as well as points on their licence.  Also Douglas Road and Burcott Lane. Rush hour commuters use these roads as a cut through. We have been using the Speed Indicator Device (SID) and have carried out several speed enforcement operations, issuing Fixed Penalty Notices resulting in individuals having their driver’s licences endorsed with points.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
