Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Drug Usage - The use of illegal drugs continues to be a high priority for the Neighbourhood Police Team.  We are continuing to work hard to disrupt the drug users and dealers in the local area and are seeing a reduction in the amount of people being arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an illegal substance.  If you are concerned about a friend or family member using or supplying these substances please call 101 and ask for the local Neighbourhood Police Team. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously.
  2. Burglary - Throughout the period of January 2016 officers from Buckingham Police Base received 3 reports of burglary to a dwelling. Although this is relatively low, there have been 11 reports of burglaries to non dwellings. These offences have been spread across the Buckingham and District making it difficult to pinpoint offenders or the next area. However there are lines of enquiry that have identified a couple of suspects in relation to these enquiries. Further information will be made available as the investigation develops

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
