Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Burglary dwelling - Patrols are ongoing both reactive and Neighbourhood officers on a daily basis. If you see a member of the team please come and have a chat. We will happily give you any advice on home security. Please report any suspicious activity seen and help us prevent burglaries and catch the offenders. Please keep an eye on your neighbours and call us if you see anything out of the ordinary.
  2. Theft from motor vehicle (TFMV) - TFMV’s are still occurring throughout the area and we are working with police areas on our borders to bring these offenders to justice. The majority offences are being committed without damage being caused and it will not be immediately obvious that things have been stolen. Some victims have had up to £5000 worth of tools stolen. Our message simple is empty your van every night regardless of how long it takes.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
