Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Burglary dwelling - We have had 2 burglaries in June each on either side of the area which are currently undergoing investigation. Burglary patrols are ongoing as part of our daily patrols and both reactive officers and neighbourhood officers are conducting patrols on a daily basis. If you see a member of the team please come and have a chat. We will happily give you any advice on home security. Please report any suspicious activity seen and help us prevent burglaries and catch the offenders.
  2. Theft from motor vehicle (TFMV)  - TFMV have increased in the last month this is now happening in the scenic car parks. Offenders are attacking remote car parks and smashing windows to steal items such as bags, loose change, and sat navs. Please do as much as you can to not become a target yourselves and do not leave items on display as many people still do thinking that it won’t happen to them. Most importantly please report suspicious people and vehicles noting the make/model of the vehicle and registration numbers (if possible), it’s better if we can catch them in the act or before they commit the crime as witnesses etc are hard to find in these locations

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
