Haddenham and Long Crendon neighbourhood
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
- Theft from motor vehicle and burglary non dwelling - This month has seen an increase in both thefts from motor vehicles and burglary non dwellings. The area’s most affected are to the west of the neighbourhood, with Brill, Oakley and the surrounding villages being worst hit with several crimes recorded in each location. As a result the area has been placed as a tasking area (an area where officers proactively patrol to deter crime) for us on the neighborhood team and also for the response officers working out of Aylesbury and Buckingham, so if you see an increase in police vehicles about this will be the reason (albeit it will be at night time). Last month we conducted an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) operation on the Bicester Road in Oakley, and of the 120 vehicles checked none of them had any suspicious information attached!
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
