Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Burglary non dwelling - At the start of June we had several non dwelling burglaries in Waddesdon, with several in one night. The offenders did not steal anything of great value, but the inconvenience and annoyance to the proprietors of the attacked premises is considerable. As a result, the team changed their duties to facilitate high visibility patrols in and around Waddesdon the following week. We have also been conducting regular number plate checks on vehicles passing through Waddesdon to identify any vehicles linked by intelligence to burglaries in the area. Thankfully the offences appeared to be isolated to a couple of nights and we have not had any further offences.
  2. Theft from motor vehicle - It has been fairly quiet in relation to theft from motor vehicles across the neighborhood for June. We had a number of offences in Marsh Gibbon towards the end of the month and have received intelligence regarding a possible offender which we are looking to develop into something more substantial. If you have any information regarding community intelligence please report it on 101 or crime stoppers.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
