Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

1. Anti-Social Behaviour / Drugs. Youths gathering in parks and intimidating, Atkyns Road, Leiden Road, Salford Road and Marsh Lane areas.   Drug dealing and people taking drugs in public places. We have arrested some people for possession of drugs but are interested in those who supply them. We ask members of the public to help us with information.  Brooks University – Alcohol related ASB and litter.    Also litter left in the parks overnight.
2. Parking.  Obstructive parking and parking on double yellow lines, especially Osler Road, Stile Road and  in the Marston area
3. Burglary (Brooks University).  Both of halls of residence and student rented properties.    
4. Burglary.  In the Marston area and a number of vulnerable premises have been identified in the Woodfarm area where occupiers have been spoken to with regard to how they can reduce the chances of being victims of burglary
5. Cycle Thefts (Brooks University).   Attempt to decrease the number of cycle thefts through education and prevention.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
