Watchfield / Longcot / Shrivenham neighbourhood

Local priorities

After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:

  1. Safety in the Community. There is a perception in places such as public recreational areas, outside of educational establishments and bus stops where people feel intimidated.
  2. Speeding. There is an issue with speeding along Park Road, Faringdon, Fernham, Longcot, Highworth Road, Shrivenham and Buscot Road.
  3. Greater Police Visibility. The public require an improved police visibility within certain communities where some people are believed to be feeling vulnerable.

Neighbourhood Action Group

These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
