  Superintendent Robin Rickard

  Local Policing Area commander - West Berkshire

  Superintendent Robin Rickard joined Thames Valley Police in 1989 and began his career as a patrol officer in Wantage, Oxfordshire. He spent the majority of the first half of his career working in a variety of teams in Oxfordshire. He was responsible for managing the Force-wide pilot project, The National Reassurance Policing Programme, which was later rolled out as Neighbourhood Policing to every part of Thames Valley Police. He is the former lead for Diversity for the Force. Robin is an experienced and accredited Public Order, Firearms and CBRN Commander and commands many events such as football matches, festivals, high-profile protests and spontaneous demonstrations. Robin was appointed Area Commander for West Berkshire in 2008.
