Caversham West neighbourhood
Local priorities
After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:
- Traffic issues. The concerns include speeding, cycling on the pavement and volume of traffic on roads in the neighbourhood
- Burglary and cycle theft. Burglary remains a concern despite 2008/9 numbers being lower than those of 2007/8. Issues include bicycles stolen from sheds and out-buildings.
- Environmental issues. This includes concerns about inappropriate litter disposal, lack of lighting and noise nuisance.
Neighbourhood Action Group
These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
