Hungerford neighbourhood

Local priorities

After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:

  1. Burglary. There is a perception issue around fear of domestic dwelling burglary in specific roads within the town.
  2. Drugs. Although anti-social behaviour has fallen within the town, there is a small number of young people who continue using illegal drugs when out on the streets.
  3. Hare coursing. This issue has been raised by the rural community who are reporting increased activity with offenders becoming aggressive when challenged.

Neighbourhood Action Group

These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
