Iver neighbourhood update

Update for May

Here is the latest Iver neighbourhood update from Neighbourhood Specialist Officer PC Hayley Edwards

Anti-social behaviour
Tackling anti-social behaviour has been the top priority for the neighbourhood team in recent months and will continue to be. We are working alongside other partner agencies to ensure that any issues arising are dealt with, hopefully will be resolved.

We are pleased to say that there haven’t been many incidents of note reported to the police over the Easter Holidays and hope that this reflects reality and that the Easter Holidays were enjoyed by all.

Speeding/Parking
This continues to be monitored by the neighbourhood team and the local Roads Policing Unit. We have been monitoring parking outside the schools and will continue to do so. We are tackling parking problems in Richings Park, along with the help of the residents and business owners in the local area.

Burglary
We have been conducting proactive high visibility patrols focused on disrupting criminals and deterring crime from occurring. There have been a few burglaries where criminals entered houses via insecure windows or unlocked doors.

Please do not make it easier for them, keep it safe, and keep it secure.  For further crime prevention advice, please do contact us.

Crime update
The neighbourhood team have arrested two individuals following an incident of criminal damage at Iver Heath Library recently. The individuals were identified by Neighbourhood Officers and were arrested within 20 minutes of the incident.

This was down to the local knowledge of the community support officers and police officers being able to identify the offenders and goes to show that neighbourhood policing and knowing your beat really does pay off.

Other news
The neighbourhood team are organising a community event for all the family at the Evreham Centre on Saturday, June 12th from 3pm onwards. There will be a 5-a-side football tournament with prizes, football coaching from Wycombe Wanderers Coaches along with ‘Bodger’, their mascot, a bouncy castle and refreshments and snacks of the non-alcoholic kind.

There will also be a large screen TV to watch England’s first World Cup Match (against USA). It’s a real family day, for the community and a chance for you to enjoy yourselves. We really hope you’ll be able to join us.
