Abbey neighbourhood

Local priorities

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  1. Speeding. The following roads have been identified as having speeding problems. Desborough Avenue, Daws Hill Lane, Coronation Road, Kingsmead Road and Marlow Hill.
  2. Parking. There are issues with vehicles in areas of Cressex Road and Chepping View School, Abbey and Ryemead districts causing inconvenience to residents and service users.
  3. Anti-social behaviour incidents reported on London Road and Kingsmead Road. Also young people meet in groups at Rye Park, drink alcohol and ride noisy quad bikes anti-socially.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
