Falcon

Falcon is a campaign designed to stamp out class A drug dealers, reduce drug-driven crime and disorder, and to promote treatment opportunities for addicts in Milton Keynes.

Falcon is the area’s long-term initiative, aimed at improving the quality of life for residents across the city.

Who is involved?

Falcon involves police officers, special constables and police community support officers (PCSOs), conducting high-visibility proactive operations. Work will also continue behind the scenes to monitor drug dealers and networks involved in criminal activity.

Police officers work hand-in-hand with key agencies including Milton Keynes Council (opens new window), parish councils, Milton Keynes Community Safety Partnership, the Drugs Action Team (DAT), the Youth Offending Team (YOT) and the charity Crimestoppers.

What are the benefits of Falcon?

The potential benefits of Falcon are immense, ranging from making Milton Keynes a more difficult place for drug dealers to operate, to reducing acquisitive crime and drug-related violence. This won’t happen overnight, but will be a long-term dedicated approach.

Falcon is about pulling together all the different initiatives and good measures into a more joined-up approach, incorporating everything from intelligence and enforcement to education and treatment for prolific problem users.

How can I help?

Community involvement plays a huge part in the fight against drugs and the crime it can generate. Each and every resident is a key player in the fight against drugs and drug-related crime.

This is not just about providing the police with information and reporting crime, but also about passing on the message to others and making sure that everyone – including the police and their partners – are doing all that they can to hit dealers and offenders where it hurts most and provide treatment opportunities to those who wish to kick their habit.

How can I report a dealer?

If you know about a dealer in your area, call police on 0845 8 505 505 and tell us about it. If you do not want to leave your name, telephone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
