Superintendent Nikki Ross
Superintendent Nikki Ross, LPA commander - Milton Keynes

Nikki has been with Thames Valley Police since leaving school in 1984, starting life at Bletchley as a typist, moving to the new police station when it opened and then moving to the control room two years later. At the time this was a route being followed by others with the goal of joining the service as a Police Officer, which she did in 1988.

Having completed about nine months, Nikki was posted to a beat officer position on a couple of nearby estates, and was promoted from Milton Keynes to Bicester as a Sergeant with three years service. While doing that role, she took an A level in law followed by a degree and obtained a 2:1. She took a short-term role as detective sergeant before being promoted to Inspector.

Nikki did some time at HQ and then Milton Keynes before she then went into Professional Standards before promotion to Chief Inspector in 2001. As a Chief Inspector she spent time in Strategic Resourcing, Aylesbury and then headed up the ICT Department as an acting Superintendent, being promoted in post. Following ICT she then moved to another HQ Department and managed the Productivity Planning Team before returning back to the world of operational policing and returning to Milton Keynes in March 2009.

Nikki is an accredited public order commander and accredited firearms commander and continues her portfolio in these areas.
