Broughton / Middleton neighbourhood
Local priorities
After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:
- Litter. Some rubbish bins are put out too early or not collected with abandoned trolleys, cans and food cartons affecting the ditch at rear of Tanfield, Milton Road and Broughton Brook.
- Parking issues along Milton Road (the Circus), Tanfield Square, outside Middleton Primary School during run times and the MK Pavillion, Middleton on football and event days.
- Speeding / traffic concerns in the villages of Milton Keynes and Middleton. Areas involved are Claridge Drive and Griffith Gate during rush hours and the Tanfield Lane in Broughton.
Neighbourhood Action Group
These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
