MK Rural East neighbourhood
Local priorities
After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:
- Speeding. Motorists on the A422 exceed the 60 mph speed limit. Drivers slow down at check points but speed up again. Chicheley Road and North Crawlet High Street have similar issues.
- Rubbish. The are concerns that rubbish, including tractor tyres, being inappropriately dumped on quiet rural roads, such as the A422 and the lay-bys by Chicheley and Hardmead.
- Potholes. There are concerns about poor road conditions in the area with a number of identified dangerous potholes that could cause hazards.
Neighbourhood Action Group
These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
