Old Bletchley neighbourhood
Local priorities
After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:
- Speeding. The Neighbourhood Action Group agrees that motorists exceed speed limit on most of the roads in the area, particularly along Buckingham Road and Whalley Drive.
- Parking. The main focus is on the areas around local schools; Holme Chase, St Thomas Aquinas and Chestnusts School. These include Whalley Drive, Elmers Park and Sherwood Drive.
- Groups of young people / alcohol. Main focus is on the local park off Whitely Crescent, the Racecourse Estate particularly Chepstow Drive.
Neighbourhood Action Group
These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
