Shenley Church End neighbourhood
Local priorities
After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:
- Rubbish. Overflowing bins at Medbourne Pavillion and the park at Nicholson Grove, littler blown in Fortesque Drive main walk and general litter around Oxley Park.
- Anti-social behaviour. Young people in groups cause issues involving beer runs, abuse shop staff and vandalism in Crownhill, Benbow Court, the Toot and the Loughton underpass.
- Parking. Parents inconsiderately park outside Glastonbury Thorne School. This happens during drop off and pick up times and it causes problems and safety issues for other road users.
Neighbourhood Action Group
These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
