Walton South neighbourhood

Local priorities

After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:

  1. Dangerous parking on pavements by multi-car households and delivery vehicles. Areas affected include Tamworth Stubb, Quilter Meadow, Kalman Gardens and Monellan Grove.
  2. Maintenance and cleanliness. The local areas are generally clean but the bin near children’s play area by Purple Mango always appears to be full. It becomes worse on Saturdays.
  3. Anti-social behaviour. The local community has seen very little incidents of anti-social behaviour but the neighbourhood team is monitoring the situation all the time.

Neighbourhood Action Group

These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
