Series of burglaries – Oxford

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a series of burglaries in Oxford.

Between 8.30am and 6.30pm yesterday (21/1) offenders gained entry to three houses in Rosamund Road by smashing glass in the rear doors. An untidy search was carried out in each property and offenders stole a jewellery box, jewellery and cash.

Between 4pm and 7pm yesterday (21/1) offenders gained entry to a house in Buckler Road by forcing open a window. A watch and jewellery were stolen.

Between 5pm and 7.50pm yesterday (21/1) offenders gained entry to a house in Sunderland Avenue by forcing a window. A watch and jewellery were stolen.

Det Sgt Ian D’Angeli, from Oxford Local CID, said: “We believe these burglaries are linked. We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of these incidents and may have seen something suspicious.

“I am also keen to appeal to local residents for their assistance by please checking their private CCTV systems.
