Bicester East neighbourhood
Local priorities
After consultation with the communities in the neighbourhood, the following priorities were identified:
- Litter. Concerns about rubbish around Hart Place and Nightingale Place and along the footpaths in Langford Village and Glory Farm, Langford Fields and the playing fields in Glory Farm.
- Young People hanging around. Lack of activities for young people make them hang around Nightingale Place and Hart Place, or use children’s play areas. There are concerns about under-age drinking.
- Speeding traffic. Some motorists drive too fast around Glory Farm and Langford Village. Churchill Road, Boston Road, Launton Road, Skimmingdish Lane, Peregrine Drive and Mallards Drive in particular.
Neighbourhood Action Group
These issues are now being tackled by the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) made up of local residents and partner organisations.
