Local priorities - 'You said, We did'
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
You said: Parking
The main issue areas are Bath Road, Beaumont Road and around schools in the Town
This month the team have issued 20 fixed penalty notices to those vehicles parked inconsiderately. The PCSO's have also visited schools in the area to speak to drivers about inconsiderate parking at drop off and pick up times.
You said: Speeding
The main issue areas are Ruscote Avenue and Longlandes Way
We have carried out two speed watch enforcement checks in the area this month. We are also currently looking for volunteers for our Community Speedwatch Scheme. Volunteers will assist the PCSO's in carrying out these enforement checks on a regular basis in their area.
You said: Anti-Social Behaviour
Our main issue areas are the Youth Club, Bretch Hill Estate and Princess Diana Park
During the month of May we have formalised 12 anti social behaviour contracts with key youths involved in ASB in the area. We are also following up issues regarding off road motorbikes which are a source of complaints that we have received from residents in the Bretch Hill and Giants Caves areas. We have so far seized two bikes and will continue to keep on top of the issue.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
