Crime statistics Freedom of Information Request Disclosure Log



How many of each of the following crimes were reported to your force in each financial year from 2012/13 to 2016/17:

  • Domestic abuse
  • Rape
  • Sexual assault

How many of the above crimes were recorded as having the following outcomes:

  • Type 1: Charge / summons
  • Type 2: Caution - youths
  • Type 3: Caution - adults
  • Type 15: Named Suspect identified: the crime is confirmed and the victim supports police action but evidential difficulties prevent further action
  • Type 16: Named Suspect identified: evidential difficulties prevent further action; victim does not support (or has withdrawn support from) police action

Please provide figures broken down by crime category and financial year.

Further to the below request submitted yesterday: In response to my second question, please could you also provide the number of crimes in each category and financial year in which an outcome has not yet been reached, i.e. the case is still under investigation?
