1. Do mobile safety camera vans also detect and record in-vehicle offences such as using a hand-held mobile phone or not wearing a seatbelt? 2. If so, how many mobile phone and how many seatbelt offences have been detected in each of the last three years? 3. In the same periods, how many speeding offences have been detected by mobile safety camera vans? 4. In the same periods, how many speeding, mobile phone and seatbelt offenders were offered an awareness courses? 5. When a vehicle is detected by a mobile safety camera van committing an offence, is a check made against the Motor Insurance Database and DVLA data base to ensure the vehicle was legally on the road at the time of the offence? 6. If so, how many were followed up later in each of the last three years?
