This works two fold. Firstly it provides a diversion route for those that are venturing into criminality, teaching them discipline. Secondly it also provides unity and strength for some of our vulnerable members of the community.

Reduce anti-social behaviour on Edinburgh playing fields – The team are working with local residents and partner agencies to reduce the current issues of anti-social behaviour on Edinburgh playing Fields. Hi Visibility patrols are taking place. We are actively interacting with those concerned to educate and discuss the consequences of their actions. Responded to a report of a burnt out scooter, only frame remained, arranged for street cleaners to remove.

– With help from our problem solving team, we have sought a closure order, of which a partial closure order was granted, on an address where the behaviour was coming from. With routine patrols and engagement with residents, we are beginning to see a reduction in the behaviour. We will continue to patrol and monitor the situation
