Every neighbourhood in the Thames Valley area has a dedicated neighbourhood policing team that works together with the local community and partners to: reduce crime and incidents, bring more offenders to justice, protect the vulnerable and tackle violence against women and girls and improve victim service and public confidence.
Neighbourhood policing teams are led by senior police officers and include police officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), police staff, police support volunteers and the Special Constabulary.
They aim to make communities safer through an approach that is focussed on visibility, engagement, problem solving and community resilience.

The town centre police team work alongside the council's Community Safety Team, Private Security, the towns retail crime reduction group (Bracknell Business Against Crime) and other partner agencies to collate detail of offences, and identify offenders.
31/01/22 8 juveniles who had been repeatedly involved in disruptive and aggressive behaviour in the towns cinemas, McDonalds and adjacent areas were served with 12 month Exclusion Orders banning them from entering The Point and Lexicon properties or land.

The riding of these vehicles within the pedestrian areas of the town centre is illegal and officers will stop offenders to either educate or to prosecute repeat offenders and seize offender's vehicles.
02/05 2 take away moped riders issued with penalty notices for riding through Bond Square and an adjacent underpass.
10/05 a 21year old from Ascot stopped for riding carelessly through the pedestrian section of High Street, and served a formal written warning.
