Concerns around general speeding and traffic complaints.
It has been brought to our attention that local residents have raised concerns about traffic issues around school pick up and drop off in Wargrave. We are also aware that this build up has caused problems for ambulance crews to get around while on an emergency call.
Issued 09 March 2025
You may have already seen PC Young and PC Bogdanova outside the Piggott school who are monitoring the traffic build up when available. Some Fixed Penalty Notices have already been issued to drivers.
PC Young is also in contact with our Roads Policing colleagues to assist with speed enforcement.
Community Speedwatch is a national initiative where proactive members of local communities join with the support and supervision of their local police to record details of speeding vehicles using approved detection devices. To join a local Community Speedwatch group and be involved in tackling speed related issues, please visit:

Complaints from residents regarding parking on Hurst Road and other roads across the area.
Issued 09 March 2025
Your local policing team is continuing to issue Fixed Penalty Notices for cars parked in a way which unnecessarily obstructs the pavement and forces pedestrians to walk on the road.
We are aware of complaints from residents regarding parking on Hurst Road and we are monitoring the parking; however, our powers are limited. We understand residents have requested the double yellow lines be extended or parking restrictions be implemented. To voice your opinion or for further information on these matters, please contact Wokingham Borough Council. www.wokingham.gov.uk
