Reducing Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in the Woodley area.

We have been targeting patrols in the Town centre following an increase in ASB related disorder affecting a number of businesses. The Neighbourhood and Problem Solving Teams have also implemented a long-term problem-solving plan working with partner agencies such as the Wokingham Borough ASB Team and local businesses to solve this issue. The team are looking into implementing a local Shopwatch scheme which allows businesses in and around the town centre to communicate about thefts and ASB and share information as appropriate.to support businesses and keep residents safe.

Community events to be organised around crime, burglary and fraud prevention.

The Priority Crime Team organised a Burglary Awareness Event at the Oakwood Community Centre to explain to local residents and community leaders how the Police investigate burglaries. Crime prevention advice, leaflets and equipment were also provided.
Further crime and fraud preventions events are currently being planned for this year.
