Theft From Motor Vehicles - There is sporadic theft from motor vehicles in Lower Caversham and Caversham Village residential streets mainly overnight. Offenders are sometimes targeting the same addresses causing distress for residents and concern as to offenders motivations.

NHPT are conducting plain clothes patrols and changing shift patterns to match the offending time. Key offenders have been identified and arrested in the past 3 months causing number of TFMV to reduce, however number of offences being recorded are being monitored daily to see if any further offenders can be identified.

Repeated reports of anti social behaviour including fighting amongst groups of youths, inconsiderate and illegal riding of motorbikes and electric scooters in recreational areas along with vehicles causing issues in community car parks and near community centres in Emmer Green.

Key areas are being patrolled on a regular basis and officers are working closely with ASB officers and sharing information regarding any ongoing issues and persons involved. Any actionable information is being identified and assessed early on with offenders details and images being shared and named as soon as possible. Individuals involved are being spoken to where appropriate and patrols are being targetted for areas with repeated issues.

Fast time identification of suspects for shoplifting and working closely with stores to identify offenders and gather evidence as quickly as possible for early arrests.
Plain clothes patrols and monitoring of locations at key times to catch offenders actively stealing and gather intelligence as much as possible to share with other teams and build a picture of where the stolen goods are going.
Visible uniformed presence whenever possible to deter offenders, offer reassurance to businesses and show visibility at key locations where offending occurs.
