The Inspector is in command of the neighbourhood Policing Team and is responsible for the overall policing of the neighbourhood. They lead, manage and co-ordinate the team and also work with the community and other agencies, in ensuring an appropriate and timely response to incidents and issues affecting the community.
The Sergeant is next in command and also assists the Inspector. In addition they provide leadership in the development and supervision of the Constables and PCSOs. They too work with the community and other agencies to ensure that the concerns of the community are dealt with by the Neighbourhood Team.
Police Constables work alongside the community and partner agencies to tackle crime and issues identified by the local community. They work together with PCSOs to be a visible presence in the local area and build trust and confidence by developing a detailed understanding of the community.

Rough sleepers at The Junction, Grays Place- Police received a number of calls in regards to rough sleepers in the bin sheds at The Junction, Grays Place.

The police have received multiple calls about rough sleepers in the bin shed at The Junction, Grays Place. Previously, the Neighbourhood team has patrolled the area and disrupted those using it for sleeping. While this has been effective at times, it has not fully resolved the issue. Consequently, the Neighbourhood team has organised a meeting with housing and multiple local agencies to develop a permanent solution. The goal is to address this problem and ensure residents can come and go from their homes without any issues. The team will continue to patrol the area, disrupt activity, and work closely with residents to tackle this problem.

ASB and drug dealing Rochford Gardens/Goodman Park - Numerous reports in regards to drug dealing suspicious vehicles and suspicious behaviour within the area of Rochford Gardens/Goodman Park..

We continue to receive reports of drug dealing, suspicious vehicles, and suspicious behaviour in the areas of Rochford Gardens and Goodman Park. Recently, officers conducted targeted patrols in the area and completed a CLEAR CAR CAMPAIGN. During this initiative, we identified 10 insecure vehicles and found several personal items on display. The campaign aims to educate residents about keeping valuables out of their cars and ensuring all vehicles are secure to prevent thefts or damage. Additionally, the Neighbourhood team seized and recovered a vehicle linked to drugs. We will continue to monitor the area and have several initiatives and operations planned for the coming month.

Knolton Way/The Cherries- Drugs and ASB- The police have received recent reports of people gathering behind the shops on Knolton Way/The Cherries. Residents have raised concerns about individuals smoking cannabis, using nitrous oxide canisters, and making a lot of noise, which is causing a disturbance

Recently, the Neighbourhood team has been patrolling the area. Several individuals have been stopped and spoken to, leading to searches for drugs. One person was found in possession of an illegal substance, which was dealt with through a local community resolution. The Neighbourhood team will continue to patrol the area and respond proactively.
