Every neighbourhood in the Thames Valley area has a dedicated neighbourhood policing team that works together with the local community and partners to: reduce crime and incidents, bring more offenders to justice, protect the vulnerable and tackle violence against women and girls and improve victim service and public confidence.
Neighbourhood policing teams are led by senior police officers and include police officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), police staff, police support volunteers and the Special Constabulary.
They aim to make communities safer through an approach that is focussed on visibility, engagement, problem solving and community resilience.

Targeted patrols of the location, utilising uniformed and plain clothes officers to build intelligence. Joint visit with housing association with tenant and a tenancy warning issued.
Update 29/03/25- Joint visit with housing completed and further patrols of the street to take place. We have seen a decline in reports over the last 6 weeks.

The PCSO's Set up an educational stand to give out advice and information In Hungerford. The PCSO's have also Visited victims of fraud to ensure they do not become repeat victims giving out cyber advice as well as general safety information.
29/03/25- Update- The PCSO's are continuing to visit any victims of fraud in the area to give out Safeguarding advice and also set up an information stand in the bank and in Hungerford High street.

Drug use in the Old Cricket Ground, Lambourn. Reports of youths gathering and smoking Cannabis.

Targeted patrols of the location, utilising uniformed and plain clothes officers and conduct stop searches if grounds exist.
To date 7 persons dealt with for cannabis use in that location and will have to attend drugs diversion course.
Update 29/03/25- 4 youths now found with Cannabis in February and referred for Drugs diversion course.
