Anti-Social Behaviour - Newbury Town Centre

We have seen a reduction of anti-social behaviour in the town centre. The neighbourhood team continues to carry out regular patrols, focusing on those responsible for such behaviour. We are aware that during the warmer weather there is usually an increase in ASB therefore; we will be sending letter out to parents via local schools reminding them of acceptable behaviour, policing powers and parents responsibilities.

Complaints about E-scooters / E-bikes

An operation was carried out in March, resulting in the seizure of two e-scooters and an e-bike. Additional seizures also took place throughout the month, and enforcement efforts will continue to target illegal use of e-bikes and e-scooters. Further operations will continue to take place.

Increase in Criminal Damage in Newbury Town Centre.

Since arrests have bene made there has been a reduction in reports of criminal damage in both Newbury Town Centre and Clay Hill. Officers are working closely with the Youth Offending Team and Safeguarding team to implement prevention measures.
