A Misconduct Hearing will take place on Tuesday 1 September 2026 commencing at 10:00 hours and is listed for 9 days.
The hearing will take place at Thames Valley Police Headquarters in Kidlington, Oxfordshire before a panel chaired by Retired DCC Paul Mills, QPM
Officer B faces allegations of gross misconduct which relate to his relationship with his former wife, Officer A. It is alleged during the relationship that he created an environment of domestic manipulation and control within which he was verbally and physically abusive towards her.
The Chair in the proceedings, further to representations from the respective parties, has decided that legal restrictions concerning the material to be relied upon in this case are present and therefore there is a requirement to hold the proceedings in private. In addition, there is a requirement to protect young people who are relevant to the proceedings and could be identified if the proceedings were held in public. Therefore, there will be no public attendance and no reporting.
The Chair has further decided that pursuant to Regulation 36(3)(c) of the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020, that restrictions should also be imposed on the publication of the officer’s name.
Due to the nature of the allegations the Chair has made directions concerning the following:
All witnesses in the case will be anonymised and referred to by cyphers throughout the proceedings
Any person who wishes to make written representations concerning the decision of the Chair should do so in writing to [email protected], not later than 27 August 2026.
