A public misconduct hearing will take place in connection with a Thames Valley Police Sergeant commencing on Tuesday 11 August 2026 at 10am and is scheduled for 4 days.
The hearing will take place at Thames Valley Police Headquarters in Kidlington, Oxfordshire before a panel chaired by retired DCC Paul Mills, QPM.
Police Sergeant Brenchley faces allegations whereby it is alleged that in June 2021 while deployed on an operation as Team Leader, the officer put his arm around a female colleague and touched her hip. This was considered overly familiar and inappropriate.
In July 2025, while deployed on an operation as Team Leader, it is alleged that Police Sergeant Brenchley made various comments to colleagues which were inappropriately sexualised and unprofessional.
It is alleged that Police Sergeant Brenchley breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to Authority, Respect and Courtesy, Equality and Diversity and Discreditable Conduct.
The Appropriate Authority allege that if these allegations are proven, the conduct would amount to gross misconduct for which dismissal would be justified.
This is a public hearing and available space will limit numbers of people attending to six people, including members of the media. If you wish to attend you will be required to pre-register by completing the relevant form using the link below:
