A national programme that trains graduates to become Police Officers and transform communities.
Police Now’s mission is to transform communities, reduce crime and increase the public’s confidence in policing. How? By recruiting and developing a diverse group of individuals to be leaders in society and on the policing frontline.
The two-year national leadership programme trains outstanding graduates to become Police Officers and transform communities.
Operating at pace and intensity, the programme is a unique challenge. Graduates become fully warranted police officers; they get to know their communities – the problems, the prominent offenders and the crime hotspots within them. Right from the beginning, they are expected to use innovative ideas and tactics to tackle the toughest problems and deliver high-impact results.
Graduates are supported by mentors, coaches and line managers. Frontline training is delivered by over 40 different experts and a whole range of operational police officers. There are opportunities to undertake prestigious three-week placements with one of Police Now’s partner organisations, which give graduates exposure to the wide range of options available to them once they complete the Police Now programme.
This is a challenge that extends beyond the basic mission of the police to prevent crime and disorder. It’s the chance to be a leader in society and on the policing frontline.
Entry for 2019 is now open – visit the Police Now website to find out more and submit your application.
