Appeal for witnesses following sexual assault – Kidlington

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault which occurred in Kidlington.

The incident took place on Friday (6/10) at about 4.50pm in the alleyway between Oxford Road and Crown Road.

The victim, a woman aged in her twenties, was walking along the alleyway when she was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her arm. As the victim turned around he then exposed himself.

The offender then left the scene.

The offender is a white man, aged in his late fifties and around 5ft 8ins tall. He is of medium build, with broad shoulders, short shaved hair and dark stubble. He was wearing a blue faded denim jacket, a light coloured round necked sweatshirt and faded blue denim jeans at the time. He was also wearing a tanned leather light brown belt with a bronze buckle.

Investigating officer, PC Sharon Harris, from Bicester Investigation Hub, said: “Understandably, this has been a very distressing incident for the victim, and she is being supported by the investigation team at this time.

“We would ask anyone with any information, or anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time, to contact police on 101.

“We are carrying out an investigation into this offence, and would like to hear from anyone who may have any information relevant to the investigation.
