A number of men have been arrested following drug warrants being executed in Witney.

Today (5/3) at around 7am officers executed three warrants under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act at addresses in Witney and surrounding areas.

Four men, a 22-year-old and a 26-year-old from Witney and two 25-year-old men from Carterton were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

All remain in custody at this time.

During the warrant officers found and seized quantities of suspected Class A, Class B drugs and drugs paraphernalia.

Officers also seized a number of weapons.

Neighbourhood Inspector, Steve Hookham, said: “We have arrested four people and seized drugs as a result of these warrants.

“We are committed to tackle those who are thought to be dealing drugs in Witney, as part of our ongoing Stronghold campaign which aims to work in partnership to tackle serious and organised crime. Drug dealing in West Oxfordshire will not be tolerated.

“We would ask anyone who is aware of drug dealing in their community to please report it to us on 101 or via Crimestoppers anonymously.”
