Woman was seriously injured in a collision in Chesham

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman was injured in a road collision in Chesham.

Just before 3pm on Thursday (31/8) a black Nissan Juke was driving along Blucher Street towards Broadway when it collided with an elderly female pedestrian.

As a result of the collision, the woman, aged 76, was airlifted to the John Radcliffe hospital suffering from serious injuries and remains in hospital. 

The driver remained at the scene and was spoken to by police.

Investigating officer Sergeant Mark Ashby of Roads Policing said: “We would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident, in particular we would like to speak to anyone with any dashcam footage or mobile phone footage of the collision to get in touch with us via 101 quoting URN 771 31/8.”
