Response to Panorama – Grooming Gangs: Why were we ignored?
Tonight (21/09), a Panorama programme will be aired on BBC One focusing on the experiences of three women who were victims of grooming gangs in Oxfordshire in the early 2000s. These women, who were children when they were targeted by the gangs, detail the horrific abuse they were subjected to. The programme also highlights how, at the time, Thames Valley Police and other agencies initially failed to take their reports seriously and did not act as they should have.
