New information released in connection with a series of burglaries – South & Vale

Thames Valley Police is releasing new information in connection with a series of burglaries across South and Vale where jewellery has been stolen.
Between 9am and 7.40pm on Wednesday (27/11) four properties were broken into where offenders gained entry by smashing doors and windows at the rear of the properties.
The first incident occurred in Playfield Road, Kennington. Nothing is believed to have been stolen.
The second incident occurred in Yarnells Hill, North Hinksey. Alarms to the property were stolen.
The third incident occurred in The Avenue, Kennington. CCTV cameras were stolen.
The fourth incident occurred in West Way, Botley. An amount of jewellery was stolen.
A fifth incident occurred between 1.30pm and 6.30pm on Thursday (28/11). Offenders gained entry via the back door to a property on Montagu Road. Cash, jewellery, high value watches and cigarettes were stolen.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Francesca Jarvis based at Abingdon police station, said: “We believe that these burglaries are linked to similar offences that were committed earlier in the month.
“If anyone has any CCTV footage from the time of the offences or thinks they saw anything suspicious around the time please contact the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting 43190371117 or make a report online.
