Appeal for witnesses following assault – Oxford

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault that happened in Oxford.
Between 7.40pm and 8pm on Friday (1/10) a teenage boy was assaulted by a man outside McDonald's in Cornmarket Street, Oxford.
The offender is reported to have grabbed the boy and held him around the throat and shaken him around.
The man let go of the victim, the boy then went inside McDonald's where his friends were and they then left.
The boy did not attend hospital. One man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Investigating officer PC Ffion Mount, based at Cowley police station, said: “We are investigating this incident of assault, which was entirely unprovoked.
“An arrest has been made in connection with this incident but we are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
“We would ask anyone who witnessed this incident to please call 101 quoting reference 43210443143.

A 21-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm. He has been released under investigation.
