Man charged in connection with robberies – Reading

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been charged in connection with two robberies in Reading.

Wayne McLeod, aged 44, of HMP Channings Wood, Devon, was charged with two counts of robbery on Tuesday (7/6).

The charges relate to robberies on Erleigh Road: at Coral at around 6.55pm on Saturday (4/6) and Co-op Food at around 4pm on Sunday (5/6).

McLeod was remanded in custody and appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

He was further remanded to appear at Reading Crown Court on 11 July.
