Specialist officers will be patrolling Windsor’s waterways as part of the security preparations for the committal of Her late Majesty the Queen.
Supported by the Environment Agency, officers will be searching the water and river banks as Windsor continues to become exceptionally busy.
Windsor’s riverside is also home to an exceptionally busy train station. Thames Valley Police is working with British Transport Police colleagues to ensure safe journeys for those visiting the town.
All officers, whether they’re patrolling land, river, or trains, want to know if you hear or see anything suspicious or something that doesn’t seem right to you. Please speak to them if you have any questions or concerns and they will support you.
If you intend to travel to Windsor please check travel advice from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead via their Twitter and Facebook pages.
