Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a stabbing in Oxford City Centre overnight.
Officers were flagged down in Pembroke Street at the junction with St Aldates at just after 4am this morning (27/8) after a man was stabbed to his upper arm and back.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
St Aldates is currently closed from the Pembroke Street junction to the top of St Aldates, Carfax and High Street while investigations continue and there are scene-watches in place.
Pembroke Street to St Ebbes Street is also closed at this time.
The incident is believed to have taken place outside G&D’s café in St Aldates.
No arrests have been made, but a knife has been recovered.
Detective Sergeant Lisa Jones of Oxford CID said: “This incident occurred at around 4am and a man has suffered stab wounds.
“His condition is not life-threatening, but he is being treated in hospital.
“At this early stage of the investigation, we do not have any descriptions of offenders, but I would appeal to anybody who witnessed what happened or who may have dash-cam, CCTV of mobile phone images, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police, either online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43230383657.
“I would like to reassure the local community that we are conducting fast time and thorough enquiries, and if anybody has any concerns or information that can help the investigation, to please speak to any of our officers at the scene.”
