Appeal for witnesses following robbery – Reading

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Reading.

At around 9.30pm yesterday (4/3), the victim, a woman in her sixties, was walking along Silver Street when she was approached from behind by two offenders, who pulled her to the floor and stole her bag.

The victim was not injured.

One of the offenders is described as a man, wearing a zipped hooded top, blue jeans, black Nike trainers with a white tick on the side, a blue face covering and a grey cap.

Investigating officer, PC Philip Marchant, based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.

“We’d also ask anyone who may have dash-cams to please check the footage in case it may have captured something that could assist our investigation.
