AMENDED: Man charged in connection with armed robbery – Reading

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been charged with robbery.

Nicholas Maze, aged 38, of Wokingham Road in Reading was arrested on 12 January and charged the following day with one count of robbery.

The charge is in connection with an incident at just after midday on Tuesday 10 January when a man entered the Cake Box Store in Wokingham Road, Reading, threatening a staff member with an unknown weapon and stealing a cash box.

Maze has been remanded in custody to appear before Reading Crown Court on 13 February.
