Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a serious injury road traffic collision in Faringdon.
At around 7.10pm on Saturday (4/3) a Mercedes Vito van, being driven towards Faringdon on Lechlade Road by a 39-year-old man, was involved in a head-on collision with a Fiat 500, being driven in the opposite direction by a 52-year-old woman.
With assistance from Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue and South Central Ambulance Service, both drivers were treated at the scene.
The driver of the van did not attend hospital, but the woman was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where she remains being treated for serious injuries.
Investigating officer PC Andrew Wickens, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Abingdon police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision to contact Thames Valley Police.
“I would also ask anybody who may have been driving in the area and has dash-cam in their vehicles, to please check this and get in touch if it has captured the collision, or the moments leading up to it.
“You can contact us via our website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43230098794.”
